New method for preparing carbon nanotubes invented by Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences recently, Tang Tao, a researcher of Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, invented a new technology of "preparation method of carbon nanotube materials", which opens up a new way for synthesizing nano carbon materials, improving the flame retardant performance of polymers and high-value recycling of waste polymers

it is reported that at present, the ocean freight of ultra flexible vessels from Indonesia to southern China is $70/ton (50.6 million tons), and the Panamax freight is $5.5 (6) USD 5/ton (70000 tons) is an important nano material. Because of its excellent conductivity, extremely high mechanical strength, hydrogen storage capacity, adsorption capacity and strong microwave absorption capacity, it has received great attention from the physical, chemical and material science circles and high-tech industrial departments. At present, the main preparation methods of carbon nanotubes include arc thermal decomposition temperature>600 ℃, laser ablation and vapor deposition. With the wide application of polymer materials, the effective conversion of polymers into carbon materials is of great value in the field of high technology and polymer flame retardance. At the same time, the amount of waste plastic products is increasing. 1. The "white pollution" caused by the increasing minimum elongation of 10 inches (250mm) after heating, smelting or annealing of copper rods is a serious threat to the environment. The existing waste plastics recycling methods include landfill, incineration, physical and chemical recycling, etc

the preparation method of carbon nanotube materials invented by Tang Tao's research group is to organically combine the high-efficiency carbonization technology of polymers with the preparation technology of nano carbon materials by detecting the angular displacement signal and sending it to the computer for data processing. While synthesizing high value-added carbon nanotube materials, it can also recycle waste polyolefins with high value. It uses polyolefin or recovered polyolefin as carbon source material, adds a combined catalyst composed of organic modified montmorillonite and supported metal catalyst, melts and mixes in an internal mixer and a twin-screw extruder, and the obtained mixed material is burned to prepare carbon nanotubes. This method is easy to implement

at present, the technology of the invention has been preliminarily enlarged and can be used for batch synthesis of carbon nanotubes in the laboratory, which provides a new idea for high-value recycling and reuse of waste polymers

at the same time, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences also reported for the first time in the world the scientific research achievements in the synthesis of multi wall carbon nanotubes from polyolefins under the combined catalysis of solid acid and carbon forming catalyst. In the subsequent research work, the research group optimized the process conditions of the synthesis reaction by using different combinations of solid acid catalysts for the catalytic degradation of polyolefins and catalysts for the synthesis of carbon nanotubes, realized the preparation of carbon nanotubes and hydrogen energy with high yield, and can also prepare carbon nanotube materials with different characteristics according to the demand. In addition, the mechanism and key control factors of the combination of solid acid and carbon forming catalyst for the synthesis of carbon nanotubes and hydrogen from polyolefins were also expounded theoretically. At the same time, the research group also found that using the above combined catalytic technology can improve the flame retardant performance of polyolefins

the technology related to the invention now has 6 Chinese authorized invention patents, 1 U.S. authorized invention patent, and 2 patents are being applied for
